The South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc takes Privacy seriously. On 21st December 2001 the Privacy Act of the Federal Government came into effect. There are 10 National Privacy Principles.

The South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc currently retains and will from time to time collect information from its members, other organisations and individuals with whom it does business and from members of the general public who have requested information on tourism matters from the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc. This information is collected and used primarily for purposes of providing information to its members, doing business with other organisations and individuals and providing tourist information to members of the general public, in order to promote tourism visitation and investment to the South Coast of New South Wales.

Information that is retained by the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc is updated upon receipt of notification of changes and is protected from distribution outside of the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc except with the permission of each of the relevant members, companies, organisations or individuals.

Members, organisations and individuals with whom the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc does business and the members of the general public can, at any time, request from the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc the type of information that is retained about them. The South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information it does retain is accurate, complete and up to date. Access to information about any individual or company can be given to them, except to the extent that such information might impact on paragraphs a to j of Principle Six of the National Privacy Principles.

Wherever possible the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc will offer its members, companies and individuals with whom it does business and members of the general public the option of not identifying themselves in any transactions where the information is collected or retained.

Information will not be provided to other states or to foreign countries unless an express authority is received from the relevant member, company or organisation or member of the public subject to paragraphs a to f of Principle Nine of the National Privacy Principles.

Sensitive information will not be collected about members, organisations or companies with whom the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc does business or members of the general public. The all inclusive paragraphs of Principle Ten of the National Privacy Principles apply.

Information retained by the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc can be provided by contacting the Privacy Officer. Personal details provided to the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc in order to supply the requested information will only be retained in order that the supply of information may be undertaken.

Requests to Remain Anonymous

Requests to remain anonymous will be offered to any member, company or organisation doing business with the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation Inc or member of the general public.
